Hillary Clinton’s Presidential campaign has been plagued with controversy over her use of use of a private email on a private server, for her official duties as Secretary of State. Now, Clinton is speaking about the issues, admitting that she should have used a government issued email address. Meanwhile, Clinton’s opponents Bernie Sanders and Joe Biden are rising in the polls, and the Vice President has yet to announce that he is running.
Hillary Clinton is now speaking up about her email scandal, reaching out to her Facebook followers:
“Yes, I should have used two email addresses, one for personal matters and one for my work at the State Department. Not doing so was a mistake. I'm sorry about it, and I take full responsibility.”
Clinton went on to point out that, where she made a mistake, she, in her opinion, did not do anything wrong:
“It's important for you to know a few key facts. My use of a personal email account was above board and allowed under the State Department's rules. Everyone I communicated with in government was aware of it. And nothing I ever sent or received was marked classified at the time.”
However, Clinton promises that things will be different in the future:
“As this process proceeds, I want to be as transparent as possible. That's why I've provided all of my work emails to the government to be released to the public, and why I'll be testifying in public in front of the Benghazi Committee later next month.”
According to the most recent Monmouth University poll, Clinton’s lead is continuing to shrink as Bernie Sanders and the yet to be declared, Joe Biden are gaining steam. The official poll, details the numbers, reporting:
“Hillary Clinton currently has the support of 42% of Democrats and Democratic-leaning voters nationwide, which is down from 52% just one month ago. Joe Biden (22%) and Bernie Sanders (20%) are practically tied for second. This represents an increase of 10 points in Biden’s support since August and a 4 point rise for Sanders over the same span. In addition to the 22% who currently back Biden for the nomination, another 7% of Democrats say they would be very likely to consider voting for him if he does get into the race and a further 34% would be somewhat likely.”
