For years Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough were one of the hottest couples in Hollywood, and now that the Dancing with the Stars champion has found love with someone new, the American Idol host is said to be having second thoughts about their split. According to the latest gossip news updates, Seacrest is more than just a little upset with the news that Hough has gotten engaged to NHL pro boyfriend, Brooks Laich, but hasn't been able to get Julianne to consider taking him back no matter how hard he tries. Ryan's ex-girlfriend, Shayna Taylor has also seemingly moved on from their breakup. In fact, the celebrity chef didn't hesitate to give out culinary dating advice -- suggesting that pineapple was perfect spicing up any intimate evening.
While Ryan Seacrest has usually been seen to be too busy bouncing from one hot blonde girlfriend to the next to have anyone ever question whether or not he actually missed one of his exes, it's now being rumored that the American Idol host has regretted not holding on to Julianne Hough for years now.
Although you couldn't tell it from his never-single status, at least one inside source that the National Enquirer spoke to insists that Hough's recent engagement has left him heartbroken:
"Ryan is completely devastated. "He's been pining for Julianne since they split, telling friends she's the one who got away.
"Ryan blamed the breakup on Julianne, but actually he wasn't ready to settle down and she was."
According to the informant, Seacrest has tried to reconcile with Julianne many times, but she hasn't ever been willing to invite him back into her life:
"In between each girl, Ryan called Julianne, begging to reunite with her, but Julianne, who'd been left heartbroken after being jilted, wasn't interested.
"She had already moved on with her life and realized she was better off without him."
The Seacrest source that Gossip Cop claims to have spoken to insists that Ryan is actually perfectly fine with Julianne's engagement and even recently called to let know as much:
"He is genuinely happy for her and told her so."
Ryan's ex-girlfriend, Shayna Taylor also seems to have no problem moving on since her break up with Seacrest -- even going so far as to give TMZ some advice on what dishes you should cook to make you partner taste absolutely delicious in bed:
"Advice from a women's perspective -- feed him anything pineapple.
"Because it makes their c*me taste good...and it goes for women too; it's like a very mutual thing. It's just one of those things."
