Michael Polish Wife Kate Bosworth Too Thin for ‘Blue Crush 3’?

Word has it that those in the know are convinced that Kate Bosworth needs to do whatever it takes to join the cast of Blue Crush 3 -- the second sequel of the film that originally made her famous. According to the latest gossip news updates, Michael Polish's wife is unfortunately just too thin to convince anyone that she could be a professional surfer but is still afraid to bulk up to get a part. Of COurse, it could be that Bosworth is hoping that her new movie with her husband, 90 Minutes in Heaven, will catapult back into superstardom without her ever having to actually gain any weight.

It has been years since Kate Bosworth was in a movie that really caught the public's interest, so some folks wonder why she isn't pushing harder to be a part of the new Blue Crush sequel that is said to be in the works.

One source in the latest September 14, issue of Life & Style claims that all Kate really has to do to get back into the franchise that originally made her famous is make sure that she's in good enough shape to actually look the part of a professional athlete, but Bosworth isn't sure it's going to be worth the effort:

"Kate already been told that she is too thin to play a believable surfer girl and has been asked to bulk up.

"There's no doubt that she's beautiful, but she's lost so much weight that she is just a shadow of her former self...[but] Kate is hesitating at packing on the pounds."

Of course, Kate could just be waiting to see how the new movie she made with her director husband, Michael Polish, is going to do when it hits theaters next week before she commits to anything.

Besides, Kate explained in a recent interview with Michigan Live that she knew before they even finished their last film together that there in no one in the world she would rather work for than her very talented husband:

"We first worked together on Big Sur, and when we worked together on that movie, I responded to him as a director in a pretty profound way.

"I knew immediately that he would be a director that played a significant role in the course of my career, and I thought, 'I hope he hires me again.'

"So right away, I felt this strong connection to him that was different from all other experiences I'd had with directors."

What do you think about Kate Bosworth's supposedly being too thin to rejoin the Blue Crush franchise?

Is that just crazy given how obviously beautiful the actress is?

Or, should Kate maybe focus on adding a little extra weight, whether she decides to go out for the part of not?
