Rumors that Robin Thicke was cheating on his longtime partner and wife appear to be just that. The “Blurred Lines” singer squashed accusations that he was unfaithful in a tell-all interview with Star Magazine.
Star might not be your typical go-to place for accurate reporting on Hollywood celebrities. This, of course, is different when a celebrity takes time to sit down with the magazine and clear things up.
That’s exactly what Robin Thicke did when he spoke to the tabloids’ writers in the latest edition of the publication. Thicke acknowledges that his marriage may be atypical, but he loves his wife all the same:
“It’s the greatest love of the century and the most functional, dysfunctional marriage in Hollywood. I knew she was special the night I met her. I was only 14, but she was already the most special girl. As a relationship progresses, you fall in love again in so many deeper ways. you realize that you need each other and you can’t live without each other.”
Thicke didn’t shy away from taking questions about Miley’s controversial VMA performance, either. Specifically, Robin addressed Miley’s use of the foam finger:
“We knew it would cause [a ruckus] when we were in rehearsal. We were like, “OK, if you touch me with your foam finger all over my crotch, obviously a few people are going to have something to say about this!’ But that was the whole point, to excite and provoke and entertain. Shock and awe!”
Thicke admits that he didn’t take Miley’s provacative performance too serious. To him, she was just trying to generate buzz and be funny. Even he couldn’t guess exactly how much buzz the star would generate with her twerktastic performance.
