Well he has finally done it! Despite decades of "higher" education, Charlie Sheen has received his high school diploma.
Surprisingly, Charlie Sheen was expelled from high school as a teen and never went back to finish. But now the actor has received his long overdue diploma after 30 years. Jays Leno even held a ceremony for him during an appearance on the Tonight Show. The accolade was awarded to him by former classmate Tony Todd, who presented it to him for both the class of 1983 and 2013.
In a recent interview with TMZ, The 48-year-old Anger Management star told the site that he always regretted being expelled from high school:
'It was a loose end that always bothered me. I just have this lifelong habit of never finishing things.''
Sheen's father, Actor Martian Sheen urged his young son to finish his studies:
"The idea my parents had was for me go to summer school. My response was, 'There's school during the summer? That's crazy! I could think of nothing worse in my first summer of freedom after all that time. I told them, 'Let me go on some auditions and if it doesn't work out, I'll go and get my GED and go to college.' But I got the first job I went on. It was 'Grizzly II: The Predator', that horrible thing.''
Its proabaly a good thing that Sheen didn't listen to his fathers advice to go back to school. Maybe if he would have stuck with it, he would have only been making a decent middle class living all these years instead of the $1.25 million he made per episode of his hit CBS sitcom, Two and a Half Men. Too bad he got expelled from that too.
So what do you think about Sheen"s recent achievement? Could this be a sign that the troubled star is finally growing up?
