Keith Urban Drops New Record 'Fuse,' While Bike Drops His Wife Nichole Kidman

It has been a busy week for American Idol judge Keith Urban. His new album Fuse dropped on Tuesday, He was nominated for a few more awards and oh Yeah his wife got ran over. While the Country star was off basking in the glow of success, his wife Nichole Kidman was being ran down by a photog on a bike.

From hit-records to awards, it seems like Keith Urban has a "Little Bit of Everything," just like the hit single off his new album suggests. And a little bit of everything is just what you are going to get when you listen to his new record. The 45-year-old's eighth studio record, aptly titled Fuse, has the country artist collaborating with artists across genres--including writing two songs with producer Mike Elizondo. Urban spoke with Calendar about the crossover:

“In some ways, he was really the starting point for this record. He was the first non-country guy I reached out to”

Elizondo is best know for his rap artists like Eminem and Dr. Dre. That was part of the reason why Urban was drawn to him.:

"I love a lot of the Dr. Dre stuff [that Elizondo has] worked on over the years. I’ve probably gone many times to work with programmers who can program like that, so this time I thought, 'Why am I working with guys who can program like Mike?' So I liberated myself completely by going to the source and working with the original.”

Meanwhile, the paparazzi have Urban's wife Nichole Kidman, falling all over herself....literally. A photog crashed into Kidman outside of the Carlyle Hotel in New York. All reports indicated that the 46-year-old actress is fine but plans on pressing charges. A similar incident happened to Urban back in 2007, when a photographer caused him to run his bike off the road but then managed to help the star without exploiting the injury. Urban released a statement to the press back then saying that the accident was "the result of one person's desire to do his job and my desire to maintain my privacy."
