She may not have been in a movie since 1997's Spice World, but word has it that Victoria Beckham's name has been bandied about in relation to the new Absolutely Fabulous movie. According to the latest gossip news updates, Posh has reportedly been cast in the cult classic though nothing is official. In a related story, Helen Mirren claims that her legs are so stubby that she would not dare show them off in public. The legendary Hollywood dame recently explained that her little kickers seem like they would belong to Manchester United's Wayne Rooney, but she wishes they were much more like Posh's long-legged husband, David Beckham's.
Although it is far too early to tell if there is any truth to the rumors or not, Victoria Beckham has supposedly been cast in the up-and-coming Absolutely Fabulous film.
A secret source claiming to have all the behind-the-scenes details told the UK's Sun that Beckham was definitely going to be in the movie, though they were keeping things quiet for now (via Mirror):
"It's been a long time coming but everything is now in place to start.
"Locations have been booked in London and the south of France.
"Jennifer [Saunders] is desperate to keep it all under wraps but landing Posh will be a huge coup."
Whether she gets the part of not, Helen Mirren seems to think that Posh has already lucked out in landing David Beckham and his beautiful legs.
During a recent interview with the Daily Mail, Mirren complained that she never felt comfortable enough to actually let the public see her stems -- noting that that certainly wouldn't be the case, however, if she looked a little more like the retired soccer player:
"I hate my legs. I have these short footballer's legs. First they were my Kevin Keegans; now they're my Wayne Rooneys.
"They were never my David Beckhams because he has great legs.
"I'd have been a great footballer because I'm built like one from the waist down."
What do you think about Posh's potentially joining the new Ab Fab cast?
