Even the royals can’t escape the rumor mill. New reports are claiming that Princess Kate Middleton hates Cressida Bonas, the girlfriend of Prince Harry of Wales.
Princess Kate, who is loved the world over, may get jealous from time to time just like the rest of us. London’s Daily Mail reports that the princess can’t stand Cressida. This is especially troubling, considering rumors are flying that Harry will be asking the young woman to marry him.
Kate’s (alleged) real beef lies with Cressida’s half-sister--Isabella Anstruther-Gough-Calthorpe. Isabella and Kate’s husband were apparently an item back in the day and Kate has never forgot it. A source who spoke to Daily Mail revealed:
“[William] had fallen for [Isabella] in a huge way and wanted to be with her. He propositioned her several times that summer and although Isabella was single, she knocked William back and said it would be too damaging for her and her career. Kate was very aware of his obsession with Isabella and she was incredibly threatened by her. Isabella is drop-dead beautiful and would leave any girl in the shade. I would go so far as to say that William dumped Kate because he thought he had a chance with Isabella and Kate knew that Kate accepted William back again but on the condition that he would not speak to Isabella again.”
Though it appears that this grudge may be manufactured by Daily Mail, if true, it could pose some serious problems for the royal family. After all, a lot of chatter has been made about how serious Harry and Cressida have become. Even E! News got into the guessing game as to whether or not they would marry, as an insider revealed:
“I would not be surprised if she's the one he marries. They are very affectionate with one another when they are with their friends. They kiss and cuddle and just seem head over heels for one another. They both have the same sense of fun and adventure. They're on the same wavelength. They are so compatible. Cressida is really smart, very naturally pretty and just a really cool girl to hang out with. It's hard for Harry to date as there are so many opportunities out there, but Cressida is someone he knows he can trust as she is already in his circle.”
