Grouplove New 2013 Album ‘Spreading Rumors’ Release Date Approaches, Listen Now to Every Song [AUDIO LINK]

The release date for Grouplove’s new 2013 album, Spreading Rumors is quickly approaching. If you just can’t wait to hear their new music, fear not. We’ve got an audio link so that you can listen to the entire album now.

US indie band Grouplove is prepping for the release of their second album, Spreading Rumors. You can purchase the album for yourself on September 17.

Fans have been waiting for two years to hear some music from Grouplove, as their last album was released back in 2011. The Los Angeles based band announced the new project via their Facebook page.

This makes sense, considering the group seems to really understand how to use technology and social media to their advantage. In a daring move (albeit an increasing trend for artists), they released the entire record in advance of the album release.

NPR is streaming the entire album as part of their “First Listen” series. In addition to providing viewers with the unique opportunity to hear the music first, they also provided a review of the album:

“If there's a watchword for Spreading Rumours, with its dollops of Sunset Strip gregariousness and sweet boy-girl choruses, it's not so much excess as abundance: Forty-five minutes into the record, where most bands would be burying deep cuts, Grouplove is still dispensing impossibly infectious would-be hits like the unshakeable ‘Raspberry.’”

Overall, NPR rated the album favorably.
