Marvel’s Best Female Superheroes and New Ronda Rousey Carol Danvers Casting Rumors

There is no doubt about it, this is the age of female superheroes. From young girls to grown women, it's growing increasingly clear that comic books are not just for boys anymore. Not only are we seeing an increase of female superheroes and writers in comics, but they are starting to play a larger role on TV and in film. DC is getting ready to launch their Supergirl series this fall on CBS and Marvel has already brought us the Agent Carter. Marvel is also working on a Captain Marvel film with pro fighter Ronda Rousey campaigning for the role of Carol Danvers Rousey has even gained the support of Kevin Smith. That is the just tip of the iceberg. The roster of incredible female characters continues to grow everyday. Speaking of bada** Marvel characters, fans are pushing for, pro fighter, Ronda Rousey to play Carol Danvers, A.K.A. Captain Marvel in the upcoming MCU film. Recently, TMZ spoke with Kevin Smith about his thoughts on the casting:

“Could I see her in that picture. Come on you don’t even have to think at this point, there is an image, we can see it,” Smith told TMZ, referencing the now famous fan art.”She looks amazing. Lord knows that she’s one of the only people that could play a superhero that could actually beat the sh*t out of somebody. I would like to see it happen. She seems like a good head on her shoulders. She followed a dream and holly sh*t, she is an a**kicker man. If that doesn’t sound like a superhero to me, I don’t know what is.”
