Recently, UFC fighter Ronda Rousey did a Reddit AMA session, which has since spawned a fan campaign to have her play Captain Marvel in the upcoming Marvel movie. However, some movie goers have noted that despite the fitting fan art found on Instagram, Rousey is not the most skilled actress. Now, Kevin Smith is opening up about his thoughts on the Rousey casting campaign.
Recently, TMZ caught up Kevin Smith to ask him about Ronda Rousey playing Captain Marvel:
“Could I see her in that picture. Come on you don’t even have to think at this point, there is an image, we can see it,” Smith told TMZ, referencing the now famous fan art.”She looks amazing. Lord knows that she’s one of the only people that could play a superhero that could actually beat the sh*t out of somebody. I would like to see it happen. She seems like a good head on her shoulders. She followed a dream and holly sh*t, she is an a**kicker man. If that doesn’t sound like a superhero to me, I don’t know what is.”

However, despite her physical training, Ronda isn’t exactly known for her acting skills. Where she has made a handful of appearances in films like, Expendables 3, Fast and the Furious 7, and Entourage, many online commenters feel she doesn’t have the chops to carry a film.
