iPad May Put George Zimmerman in Prison: Attorney Drops Him After Domestic Altercation [UPDATE]

The iPad that was broken during Monday's domestic altercation, might be the key to putting George Zimmerman in prison. Police are trying to salvage any information they can from the shattered tablet. Video from the scene could lead to charges. Zimmerman may also have to get himself a new lawyer, since attorney Mark O'Mara has dropped him as a client in favor of a new career on CNN.

Monday's domestic disturbance marks the latest controversy for George Zimmerman. The acquitted killer can't seem to stay out of the headlines, or behind bars for that matter. Just two months after being found not guilty of killing 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, the seemingly "untouchable man" keeps making the news.

He started his new life out on a good note, when he allegedly helped save a family from a SUV wreck, just days after his trial ended. Unfortunately for the unlikely hero, he didn't leave on a high note and disappear into obscurity. Instead he went down a dangerous path, being pulled over two times in as many months for speeding. Zimmerman's increasing reckless behavior and lack of affections, lead his wife to file for divorce last week.

That brings us to Monday, when police responded to what was then report as a domestic assault. Shellie Zimmerman told 911 operators that her estranged husband was threatening her and her father with a gun. A claim she later reversed, leading to no charges being filled at this time. During the altercation an iPad, which was alleged to have filmed the assault, was damaged. Any video authorities might be able to recover from the device could prove instrumental for any future prosecution.

Meanwhile one of the attorneys that represented Zimmerman in his murder trial, has dropped him from his client list. Mark O'Mara, who has taken a job as a CNN analyst, told his new employers:

"I am not representing George Zimmerman in his recent domestic altercation case or his impending divorce case."

Although, O'Mara will still remain as Zimmerman's council for his defamation suit against NBC.
