Former Girls' Generation member Jessica Jung is set to show off her form in the Chinese reality show, Yes Coach. The American-born Jung uploaded a new photo of her receiving training from professional swimming coach, Sun Yang, on her Instagram account.
The former SM Entertainment product recently separated from her record company to pursue opportunities elsewhere, among them acting. According to IBTimes, "The image shows her standing along with other cast members such as Joey Yung, Aarif Rahman and Michelle Chen, and listening to their guide." The site goes on to say, "The show, which on Friday, 7 August, focuses on the various challenges faced by the cast members as they learn swimming from professional coaches."
A trailer of the show has shots of Jessica training and getting ready for a swimming competition. Jung and her management team, SM Entertainment, officially parted ways last week because she wanted to focus on her fashion career. IBtimes quoted a source who said, "There are a lot of things for her to take care of including figuring out a place of residence as well as advertisement shootings. She plans to continue her career as a singer as well as work on her fashion brand."
It took a year to finally become official, but now Jung is able to focus on her fashion career, as well as acting. There has been speculation about her recording a solo album but a rep for Jung quickly put that idea to rest. Hollywood Take explained, saying, "The articles that claim that Jessica has finished recording an album are completely false. She still has no plans related to an album. She went to a friend's studio for fun, but there was absolutely no talk about an album."
