Miley Cyrus, who has become as famous for twerking as she has for ‘Hannah Montana,’ may be splitting with her fiance Liam Hemsworth. Rumors are flying that the actor will be breaking up with his younger fiance after her troubling VMA performance. These announcements come the same day as Cyrus released her music video for “Wrecking Ball.”
If you read the tabloids, then you’re already aware that there may be trouble in paradise. Liam and Miley’s relationship has been on the rocks for quite some time, and her performance at MTV’s Video Music Awards did not help matters.
According to a recent report in Us Weekly, the actor has asked for the engagement ring back. A source spoke to the tabloid and claimed that:
"He is over her and wants to make a clean break. They're not even sleeping in the same room. Liam has also asked for the ring back.”
Things don’t look good for the celebrity couple, who have been photographed less and less over the past few months. In fact, Liam didn’t even attend the VMA’s with Miley, who was nominated for four awards...though, she didn’t win ANY.
Of course, Miley doesn’t see any of this as reason to worry. To Miley, people’s negative comments and speculations are just the words of haters, as she tweets:
"Haters are going to hate, but haters are also going to click on your YouTube video to watch it, so I don't really care. You helped me break the record. And if you were watching just to hate on me, now I hold the record, so I win."
