Despite Val Chmerkovskiy's assurances that he would know how to treat her just right, word has it that Keeping Up with the Kardashians' Caitlyn Jenner won't be joining Dancing with the Stars in 2015. According to the latest gossip news updates, that does not mean that ABC won't be bringing in another reality TV Kaitlyn, however, in current Bachelorette, Kaitlyn Bristow. While Alfonso Ribeiro put the kibosh on rumors that the star of I Am Cait would be coming on board in Season 21, but Chris Soules' former flame, Witney Carson, insists that Shawn Booth's fiancé would make the perfect addition to this year's show.
Although Season 19, winner Alfonso Ribeiro admittedly has no say whatsoever on who ultimately gets cast on Dancing with the Stars, the Fresh Prince alum told E! News that he felt pretty safe in saying Caitlyn Jenner wouldn't be coming onboard for Season 21:
"I don't think that's going to happen.
"I have heard that [she's] not going to do it.
"But I am sure it is going to be a wonderful cast again."
Ribierio didn't exclude the possibility of Kaitlyn Bristowe joining the show -- artfully dodging any questions about the current Bachelorette whenever the subject would come up.
During her recent interview with WetPaint, Dancing with the Stars staple, Witney Carson, went a step further by appearing to openly campaign for Bristowe's being asked to join the new lineup (via Inquisitr):
"She said she was a dancer, so I assume she has some coordination, so that would be good, and I think she has a great personality...I think she'd be really good for the show.
"She's relevant, she's fun, and she's coordinated. So I think she'd be great."
For her part, Kaitlyn didn't quite confirm whether or not she'd be joining the show, while talking with E!, but the Bachelorette did predict that if she was part of the show she would win (via Inquisitr):
"I've danced my whole life...I think it would be fun and I feel like I would win."
What do you think about ABC's teasing the fans with Caitlyn Jenner and giving them Kaitlyn Bristowe instead?
Do you think it was Dancing with the Stars' plan all along to pull the ole bait-and-switch?
Or, did Caitlyn Jenner just have too much going on becoming a women to worry about trying to win a dance competition too?
