Maddie Ziegler is a bonafide superstar. The 12-year-old Dance Moms star made a name for herself thanks in part to work with Sia in the music videos for “Elastic Heart,” Chandelier and “Big GIrls Cry.” Maddie also made a guest appearance on the hit ABC Family thriller Pretty Little Liars. Now it is being reported that Maddie might not be planning on returning for Season 6 of Dance Moms and will instead focus on acting. Could Maddie really be quitting the hit series?
Recently, Maddie Ziegler spoke MTV Australia about if she will be returning to Dance Moms for Season 6:
"We just finished season five and I’m not sure what’s going to happen for season six. I don’t know if I’m going to do it or not, so it just depends."
Maddie went on to add that she would like to do more acting, adding:
"I particularly want more acting. I’ve been auditioning a lot and I definitely want to act. My favourite TV show is ‘Pretty Little Liars’ and I actually made a guest appearance on it. I didn’t really have lines for my character but I definitely want to get more into those kinds of shows. It was the best week of my life because it’s my favourite TV show, so I got to hang out with one of the girls, and I got to meet all the other ones. It was just really fun and I got to see the whole set and it was just so fun."
Maddie echoed the remarks in a recent interview with Glamour, adding that she also wants to stick with dancing:
“I want to stay with dancing, because that's what I want to do the rest of my life. I want to be in film and be acting and maybe even modeling a little bit. But when I grow up, my dream job would be to be in movies and scripted TV shows, more on the serious side. I don't know what I want to do exactly with my dancing, maybe some dance companies or even just dancing in film. That would be so much fun, like a Step Up.”
