Is Robin Quivers Dying from Uterine Cancer? Howard Stern Sidekick Lost Hair and Had Major Surgeries Despite Diet

Robin Quivers was dying from uterine cancer but seems to be improving. The long-time sidekick to Howard Stern admitted on his morning radio show that she lost all of hair and had a series of major surgeries. Despite her organic and healthy diet, she couldn’t beat the disease on her own.

The news was devastating to the millions of Stern fans who tuned in to Monday’s program. Of course, they knew something was wrong for quite some time now.

Quivers hasn’t been in the studio since May of 2012.

“Some things are just private. And that’s what I told the audience and they understood it...For the most part...except assholes on Twitter who would see that Robin road a bike and would tell her to ‘ride her ass into the studio.’”

Stern then went on to reveal how she discovered she had cancer. At first, she didn’t know what was wrong. She was attending a friend’s wedding when she realized that she could no longer urinate. She went to a doctor the next day and explained that they found a mass but didn’t know much else:

“No one really understood what it was...They knew there was this mass on my pelvis...They knew I had to have surgery and decided they would just find out then. So I went into surgery right after that Tuesday show and I didn’t want people to know because I didn’t know if there was going to be a next show.”

The timing actually worked out as they were off for the upcoming Memorial Day holiday. While they were on break, they discovered it was cancer. Doctors didn’t know, however, how much it had spread across her body.

The first surgery took over 12 hours. Howard was being updated throughout the operation and explained that he was terrified.

Robin was told that she may be facing a “restricted life.” Howard explained that there was a chance Robin wouldn’t even be able to go to the bathroom and could have to have her colon removed and use a colostomy bag for the rest of her life.

While a colostomy bag was necessary, they were able to repair her. The tumor “was about the size of a grapefruit.” She reveals that the tumor was so massive it couldn’t be reached.

Howard was convinced she was dead. The King of All Media was already planning her funeral arrangements.

Luckily, Quivers underwent treatment and is now believed to be cancer-free. This comes after doctors couldn’t even assure her that they could “prolong her life.”
