While you might expect to find both Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert crying in their beers following their divorce, it seems that the "Something Bad" singer is already moving on with her life. According to the latest gossip news updates, the split has Miranda more relieved to be through with the popular Voice cast member than anything else. It's said that while both country music stars are making no bones about their drinking in the wake of their breakup -- where Blake is commiserating, Miranda is celebrating.
Blake Shelton may be beating himself up over where things went wrong with Miranda Lambert, but his ex-wife is said to be happy to be putting their 4-year marriage in the past where it belongs.
One source in the latest August 17, issue of Life & Style magazine explained that although she originally wanted things to work out, now that it's over Miranda is ready to move on with her life:
"While this should be a really bad time for her, the truth is she couldn't be happier.
"She doesn't miss Blake and all the drama -- she's done with all that.
"Miranda is ready for a new chapter in her life."
According to the insider, Miranda doesn't harbor any bad feeling or want to burn any bridges, however, she is just looking forward to becoming country music business buds with Blake again:
"She tried to make things work with Blake, but she doesn't beat herself up about it."
"Maybe someday they can work together again. Miranda now says that Blake was just a better mentor than he was a husband."
Lambert may be doing her best to put her divorce behind her, but it definitely seemed to still be on her mind while performing in Minnesota last night.
Once again returning to the theme of heavy drinking, the country music maven, reports People, claimed that in her opinion the split from Blake entitled her to hit the bottle whenever she wants:
"She apparently told the audience, 'I wish I've been drinking all day. I deserve it: I just got divorced.'
"Multiple fans Tweeted the quote, with slight variation, late Friday, as Lambert took the stage for WE Fest in Detroit Lakes."
