Leah Remini has made news recently for leaving Scientology and Tom Cruise behind her. She’s moving on with her life and has just announced that she will be joining the new cast of ‘Dancing With the Stars.’ She will be joined on the ‘DWTS’ stage by Snooki, Bill Nye and even Bill Engvall.
DWTS’ fans can finally rejoice. The hit-TV show just announced it’s 2013 list of competing celebrities. One of the most notable additions involve ex-Scientologist Leah Remini.
After a high profile split from the secretive religion, Remini is looking to make her comeback on the small screen. Many critics of Scientology will be cheering on the 43-year-old actress.
Remini made major headlines when she decided to leave the religion she had called home for so many years. She caused even bigger waves when she filed an official missing person’s report on behalf of her friend, Shelly Miscavige.
Shelly has not been seen in public in six years, but is apparently not missing. The LAPD issued a statement that they made face-to-face contact with Shelly, and she didn’t appear to be in distress.
