Scarlett Johansson is looking forward to planning her upcoming wedding. It was just announced that she has been proposed to by her boyfriend, Romain Dauriac. The journalist popped the question by presenting Scarlett with a gigantic engagement ring. SPOILER ALERT: She said yes.
Scarlett and Romain first made headlines back in 2012, when it was announced that the couple were dating. A few months later (in February), rumors began flying that the couple were already in talks to get married.
According to People Magazine, the tabloids weren’t that far off. According to a recent article, a representative for Ms. Johansson confirmed that the couple would be saying “I do,” telling the publication:
“They're engaged and very happy. I can confirm that Scarlett and Romain are engaged. They haven't chosen a date for the wedding."
Many wondered if the timing was right, considering Scarlett went through such a messy divorce two years ago, when she called it quits with fellow actor Ryan Reynolds.
But that doesn’t mean that she’s not ready to give love another try. In 2012, the actress gave an exclusive interview with Elle U.K., telling the magazine:
"I got married when I was young and it was incredibly romantic and I liked being married, actually. But it is different. It's hard to put into words. To me, being in a functioning relationship doesn't mean you have to be married."
