Zack Snyder Talks 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice' Name and Ben Affleck Crisis [SPOILERS]

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. The name doesn’t really rest easy on the ears. It definitely takes a little getting used to and even then it it’s a little much. It could be worse. It could be the Age of Justice or Justice Rising or anything else following the Age of/Rising titling trends in Hollywood today. However, Zack Snyder feels he had a very good reason for choosing the name. You know, the tease the upcoming Justice League film. Well that and highlight Batman’s (Ben Affleck) personal crisis.

Recently, Zack Snyder opened up to Empire about where we will find Batman in the upcoming film (via Comicbookmovie.com):

"We want to assume that Batman has reached this point in his life and career as a superhero, and Superman represents a sort of philosophical change. He is a paradigm shift for Batman: 'I've been fighting criminals all my life, trying to find justice, and now I am confronted with a concept that is transcendent to me.' In the face of Superman, a man robbing a bank doesn't matter.

"He's having a crisis of conscience. 'Am I really just a vigilante who stalks the alleys of Gotham? It is rich stuff that he deals with. Ben does an amazing job… It's a point of view thing. That is why Dawn of Justice is the full title. What it does is allow us to start this conversation."
