Dove Cameron might be playing the daughter of Sleeping Beauty villain Maleficent in Disney Channel’s new movie, Descendants, but the Liv and Maddie actress has a soft spot for the princesses. Recently, Cameron opened up about some of her favorite princess of all time, including her childhood love for Ariel from The Little Mermaid, and her newfound fondness for the Frozen sisters Anna and Elsa. Dove Cameron recently spoke to fans during the AOL Disney's Descendants Cast Day event, where she opened up about her favorite Disney Princess from her childhood (via M-Magazine):
"I was really into Ariel, I think. Ariel was my girl back in the day."
However, now that she is a little older the 19-year-old actress prefers some of the newer princess, adding:
"I always hesitate to say that my favorite princesses are the new ones because I know it's cooler to be like, 'I like the OG people,' But I really love Elsa and Anna and Rapunzel. I like the recent ones because I think they're goofier. They're weirder. As we as a society get weirder, I think they follow us. That's cool."
