It seems that either Kelly Ripa did not fully understand what cheating website Ashley Madison was all about when she discussed the company the other day on the air with Michael Strahan last week, or she and her husband, Mark Consuelos, have a very liberal interpretation of their wedding vows. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Live with Kelly and Michael! co-host claimed that she would love nothing more than to find out that she and her hubby were both own the site, so they could be set up on a date -- like in "Escape (The Piña Colada Song)." In a related story, Strahan certainly looked like he wanted to escape after he was absolutely dominated in a free-style rap battle on the show by WWE superstar and Trainwreck actor, John Cena.
It seems safe to say that Live with Kelly and Michael! host, Kelly Ripa, did not fully understand the implications of her comments on the show this week when she claimed that she would like nothing better than to find out that she and her husband were actually members of besieged cheating website, AshleyMadison.com (via E! News):
"I hope we both are on Ashley Madison. I hope so.
"I hope we get partnered up, that would be amazing. That would be incredible. I'm joining today. I'm joining today.
"Babe, if you're watching this, and I know you're not, but if you are...if somebody is near Mark at the gym, join Ashley Madison.
"I'm going to do it today. We're going to join today and we're going to be partnered up with each other. It's going to be hot."
What seemed to excite Ripa the most about potentially being hooked up with her husband while trying to step out from her marriage, was how close that scenario seemed to parallel the lyrics from Rupert Holmes hit from 1979 about taking out a personal ad in order to secretly cheat (via E! Online):
"That's what the entire 'Piña Colada Song' is about.
He places the ad in the paper 'If you like piña coladas' and then he's responding and then the woman goes 'Yes, I like piña colada!'"
Speaking of tracks that lead to hurt feelings, John Cena put Michael Strahan to shame when the former pro-baller made the mistake of taking on the WWE wrestler in an impromptu rap battle on his early morning talk show.
While it seemed like it was all Michael could do just to get though the hip-hot bit, Amy Schumer's Trainwreck costar didn't have any trouble eviscerating the Hall of Famer (via SB Nation):
"Kelly silence the beat, I want 'em to hear the punchlines; I'm 'bout to eat you, dog, like it was straight up lunchtime.
"See I'm a game that you don't want to play, man; I'm John Cena, you just a chump Michael Strahan.
"Trust me, you don't want none, you should just take a rain check; You're better off buying a ticket to go see a movie that's named Trainwreck."
"I stay quick witted, unlike you who is kind of slow; Thank you, the wonderful crowd right here at Kelly & Michael's show."
Well...at least Michael didn't invite his significant other to cheat on him on national television.
