While it seems like Ryan Gosling is set to ultimately replace Brad Pitt in Hollywood, the iconic movie star recently jumped on the Drive actor's bandwagon of bashing Costco for selling eggs from cage raised chicken in their many stores. According to the latest gossip news updates, Angelina Jolie's husband has also lain down the gauntlet -- calling for the socially committed company to establish a "reasonable time-frame" to stop selling eggs from caged hens. It seems doubtful that Pitt will follow Ryan Gosling in supposedly joining the cast of Rockstar's Grand Theft Auto 6, however, but word has it that his baby's mama, Eva Mendes will. Rumors abound that the former couple will once again be reunited in the next installment of the hit franchise.
Between his family duties and his demanding Hollywood career, Brad Pitt has plenty on his plate, but the Oceans Eleven sex-symbol is never too busy to save the world's commercial chicken population.
Following Ryan Gosling's suit by publishing an open letter confronting Costco's selling cage chicken eggs in their stores, the activist actor recently called on the company to reevaluate their poultry policies (via Entertainment Tonight):
"As you know, these birds producing eggs for your shelves are crammed five or more into cages that are not large enough for even one hen to spread her wings.
"I admire Costco's many positive social commitments. You've shown great courage and integrity on a range of issues.
"Won't you please extend that sensibility -- and basic decency -- to chickens? Please, will you set a reasonable timeframe to stop selling eggs from caged hens?""
Although Ryan Gosling would never hurt an animal in real life, if the Notebook actor has truly been cast alongside ex-girlfriend in Grand Theft Auto 6 as the Day Hearld reports, his avatar may soon be committing any manner of unspeakable crimes against man and beast:
"It will most likely feature celebrated couple Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes as the lead.
"Reports suggest that Rockstar will try to connect GTA 6 with another one of their celebrated franchises, Red Dead Redemption, by introducing Ryan Gosling as a descendant of RDR lead character, John Marstan."
Regardless of whether or not Ryan winds up working with Mendes on GTA 6, he is 100 percent teaming up with former on-screen love interest Emma Stone, who Gosling has worked with before on both Gangster Squad and 2011's Crazy, Stupid, Love.
According to the Daily Mail, Emma and Ryan are once again pairing up to work together on Whiplash director Damien Chazelle's La La Land:
"Ryan and Emma will play the leads, reigniting their onscreen romance.
"Chazelle originally casted Whiplash star Miles Teller.
"But unfortunately, the Divergent actor had other obligations and was forced to back out".
Perhaps, Miles Teller is just taking a short break so he too can set aside sometime to pen his letter to Costco.
