Lindsay Lohan seems to be on a real winning streak. Her mentor, Oprah Winfrey, recently talked about Lindsay Lohan’s road from rehab to recovery. The talk-show queen offered Lohan a new show on her OWN network, after Lindsay opened up about her drug and alcohol abuse in a tell-all interview.
Things seem to be getting better for Lindsay Lohan. The starlet appears to be healthy and sober, a real change from her recent party days.
The actress has been able to hold down steady work, including a guest spot on the final season of HBO’s breakout comedy Eastbound and Down. She is currently filming the role in North Carolina and so far there have been no reports of her screwing around on set.
But what has lead to her recent change of actions? Many industry insiders believe that Oprah Winfrey, queen of all things good, played a pivotal role in Lohan’s transformation.
In the most recent edition of OK! Magazine, the tabloid claims that Oprah is at least partially responsible for Lindsay’s turn around. One person who happens to agree with those claims is Lindsay’s mom, Dina Lohan. Dina told the gossip magazine that:
“I think it’s probably one of the best things that could have happened to her, honestly. If someone’s going to mentor, it better be Oprah.”
Of course, Oprah is known for being humble and isn’t going to take credit for Lohan’s hard work. The legendary broadcaster told OK! that:
“I believe that she believes she is now ready. She admitted that there had been other times when she was pretending to be ready and not quite sure...I think that this is the first time that I could see that she feels like it really benefited her.”
