Everyone from Lena Dunham to Karlie Kloss has praised Taylor Swift as the queen bee of their superfamous clique, but word has it that it isn't always easy being friends with the 1989 singer. According to the latest gossip news updates, some of Swift's besties are getting more than just a little irritated at the "Blank Space" beauty's supposed need to be in charge. It's rumored that Gigi Hadid, Kendal Jenner and Cara Delevingne are all near as fed up with Taylor's antics as Nicki Minaj before she got that apology on Twitter.
From the looks of her "Bad Blood" music video lineup, Taylor Swift has no shortage of celebrity friends dying to hang out, or at least make a cameo, but some folks claim that at times Calvin Harris' girlfriend treats her besties like a queen treats her chambermaids.
One source in the latst August 3, issue of Star magazine insists Taylor's behind-the-scenes behavior at her Hyde Park concert last month, which included appearances by Kendall Jenner, Cara Delevingne, Gigi Hadid, Martha Hunt, Serna Williams and Karlie Kloss, led to a little mutiny after the show:
"Taylor had a dress code for everyone to make sure she wasn't upstaged.
"And they were told to stand a certain number of feet behind Taylor at all times, not to speak unless spoken to, and not to discuss Taylor's private life in interviews.
"Gigi was talking trash behind Taylor's back -- she got Kendall and Cara all riled up."
According to the insider, if Swift doesn't soon learn how to be a little bit more humble when dealing with her circle of friends, she may soon find that she is the only one in it:
"Taylor is a control freak. She is going to end up with very few friends left if she doesn't change her ways."
In a related story, Taylor almost ruined whatever relationship she had with Nicki Minaj this week, when the "Bad Blood" award winner chose to respond to the rapper's comments about race as though they were a direct attack on her character.
Minaj told Good Morning America, however, that after Swift called to say she was sorry and explain herself, they are no worse off than they were before their little Twitter spat (via Time):
"I spoke to Taylor Swift yesterday on the phone.
"She was super, super sweet. She apologized. She said, 'You know, look, I didn't understand the big picture of what you were saying. But now I get it.'
"So, we're all good."
Perhaps there's still hope for Taylor Swift and her circle of celebrity friends after all.
