‘19KAC’ Jim Bob & Michelle Duggar New TV Show Planned after Cancellation?

The Duggars may not have been able to keep TLC from cancelling their hit TV show, 19 Kids and Counting, in the wake of their son's history of child molestation, but word has it that Jim Bob and Michelle are not ready to give up just yet. According to the latest gossip news updates, the uber-religious reality stars are hoping to parlay the network's upcoming abuse special into a new spin-off. As insane as it sounds, the couple are said to be pitching a new show that will center on their counseling victims of sexual abuse -- like their daughters, Jill and Jessa.

Although some might argue that it's best to have a clean break with the family at this point, TLC announced in an official statement that the network has plans to produce a one hour special in order to bring attention to the horrors of child abuse, which will prominently feature at least a few members of the Duggar clan (via Us Weekly):

"TLC has been especially concerned for the victims in this situation, including the Duggar family, and it is our hope that this effort will help those in need learn where to turn for information and help.

"The documentary will be commercial free, and we anticipate it will air later this summer."

One source in the latest August 3, issue of Star magazine claims that the new special has given Jim Bob and Michelle the bright idea to work on a new spin-off of 19 Kids and Counting that will also focus on the victims of child sexual abuse:

"They know they have to at least pretend to be sorry about what happened, and now they want a spin-off where Jim Bob and Michelle would give advice to abuse victims -- even though they're still in denial about their culpability in Josh's crimes."

According to the insider, the Duggars are kidding themselves if they think that TLC is going to let them back on the air just for managing to finally to say they're sorry in this upcoming special:

"After the Megyn Kelly interview, when they basically made excuses for Josh, they're done...It was a disastrous move that ruined their brand.

"It would take a miracle to get them back on TV."

Regardless of whether they wind up getting that new spin-off or not, the Duggars announced that they are excited to be a part of TLC's special (via Associated Press):

"We look forward to working with TLC on this upcoming special documentary and hope that it is an encouragement to many."

What do you think?

Do the Duggars deserve a second chance at reality TV fame?

Or should the whole family be exiled from the airwaves forever?
