There has been another update in the divorce of Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones. Latest rumors are claiming that the couple may be facing one heck of a custody battle for their children, following their highly-publicized split.
It’s the divorce that caught everyone by surprise. Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones have officially announced that they are separating.
Last week, both actos’ publicists released a statement claiming that the pair would be parting ways after 13 years of marriage. They said simply, “Catherine and Michael are taking some time apart to evaluate and work on their marriage.”
Since then, a slew of negative press has been printed in major U.S. tabloids. This includes the possibility that the pair will be battling it out in court, to determine who will gain custody of their two children--Dylan, 13, and Carys, 10.
So far, no statement has been given concerning which parent the children will primarily live with. Many are betting that they will live with Catherine, since photos have emerged showing Michael Douglas with a mystery brunette.
According to many sources, his alleged mistress looks a great deal like Catherine. The insider revealed to Star Magazine:
“At first. everyone thought the woman was Catherine, especially with all the attention Michael was lavishing on her. But it wasn’t. Michael and Catherine are living totally separate lives and are powering full steam ahead with the divorce. She was gorgeous--tall, with long, dark hair pulled back in a braided ponytail and a million dollar smile. Michael seemed to be putting the moves on this woman hard-core. He must be champing at the bit to play the field again.”
