Although it seems almost too cynical to even contemplate, Keeping Up with the Kardashians matriarch, Kris Jenner is said to be overjoyed that her daughter Kourtney's long term relationship to Scott Disick has fizzled. According to the latest gossip news updates, the reality TV momager thinks that Disick's public meltdown will turn into ratings gold for the show. Regardless of whatever Caitlyn Jenner's ex-wife might hope happens, Kourtney and her former boyfriend looked to be getting along swimmingly in their first public appearance together since announcing their split.
While most moms would probably be worried sick about what a devastating breakup might do to her daughter and grandchildren, Kris Jenner is rumored to be delighted at Scott Disick's cheating finally ruining his almost-marriage to Kourtney K.
As ugly as it sound, one source in the July 27, issue of Life & Style claims that whenever Kris looks at her daughter's shattered relationship all she can see is dollar signs:
"Kris is thrilled to exploit the situation.
"Kris is having the crew film, Kourtney, Khloe and Kim's reactions to Scott at every step...she knows viewers love catastrophe."
The informant goes on to insists that some of those closest to Scott are concerned that he might ultimately be partying himself to death, which Jenner sees as a potential rating bonanza that will put the show back on the map:
"She's even hoping that with Scott unraveling, her reality show can be bigger than Caitlyn's new one.
"It may be his life, but it's also business to her."
Even though it might not bring much joy to her mother's heart, Kourtney seemed to be doing her best to keep things amicable when the pair met this week at the Beverly Hills Hotel, so her ex could spend time with one of the kids.
An inside eyewitness to the low-key gathering told People magazine, that Scott and Kourtney were doing their best to put whatever issues they might have with how things worked out aside for the sake of their children:
"Kourtney and Scott acted cordial.
"They were mostly focused on the kids. Scott looked very happy to see the kids.
"Kourtney seems to be making an effort so Scott can spend a lot of time with the kids...He's got a long way to go, but he's taking some steps that are encouraging."
It may not do much for the show's rating, but the Kardashians' fans might respect the family all the more if they decided to let Scott and Kourtney work out their issues away from the limelight just this once.
