If MTV was judging the success of this year’s Video Music Awards by the amount of buzz it generated, the music network should be quite pleased with itself. It wasn’t just Miley and Robin Thicke that got everyone talking.
Ed Sheeran and Ellie Goulding were pretty successful in generating a few headlines of their own. The two singers were sitting next to each other at the August 25 awards ceremony.
Sheeran and Goulding were shown holding hands throughout the evening. At some points, Sheeran had his hands on her knee.
Sheeran isn’t the only celebrity the young singer has been linked to in the past. Ellie has also dated world famous DJ and producer Skrillix.
Most recently, it was alleged that she is dating One Direction’s Niall Horan. Goulding has refuted these rumors in the past, telling The Mirror sarcastically:
“Oh God, I knew this was coming! I just can't talk about Niall. I won't ever talk about my love life anymore because it's always then gone wrong when I have in the past."
