Rumors continue to fly about Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner divorce. The tabloids are full of tales listing all sorts of reasons for their breakup, including rumors that he cheated on her and vice versa. Some of these reports list Ben long rumored trouble with alcohol and gambling as the root cause for their split. Now, some people are worried that the Batman actor might be heading towards the deep end without his other half there to keep him safe.
US Weekly recently spoke with an unnamed insider who clued them in on how Jennifer Garner has been to reign in Ben's bad habits:
"From the smoking to drinking and gambling, she has always been the one person who can get through to him."
A second insider from the garner camp also spoke to the publication about Ben dependency on Jen:
"She keeps Ben in line as much as she can...she was his rock."
Us Weekly also spoke to someone on Ben's side who added:
"Ben was never perfect enough for her, no matter how hard he tried. It was an extremely controlling environment, with her constantly nitpicking at him."
