According to the latest gossip news updates, however, that happiness may not last if Andy Cohen and his fellow Bravo producers have anything to do with it. As insane as it sounds, word has it that The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills are desperate to get Hadid's ex-boyfriend, Cody Simpson, and his mom on the hit reality TV show. It's said that the series plans to have the Gigi's mom, Yolanda Foster, team up with Angie Simpson in the hopes of getting their kids' relationship back on track.
They may not have been an item for long, but Gigi Hadid and her new boyfriend, Joe Jonas, seem to be currently joined at the hip -- often showing up looking very cozy on social media.
One source claiming to be in the know explains in the July 20, issue of Life & Style that the pair were spending as much time together behind-the-scenes as they were in front of the paparazzi's cameras:
"Already, they're traveling together and sleeping at each other's places.
"Friends thought Joe was going to be a rebound fling, but it's intense
"They are falling in love and can't get enough of each other."
In love or not, TMZ reports that Bravo producers have plans to break the pair up in Season 6 of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, if they can just get Cody Simpson and his mom, Angie, on board.
According to the Hollywood gossip experts, Bravo is only interested in hiring Angie if they can get her son involved too -- in a convoluted story line meant to get Simpson and Hadid's parents together in hopes of eventually getting them back together:
"Cody Simpson is getting dragged into his mom's reality TV dreams...They think the Australian pop star would help draw a younger audience.
"The show wants to work up a dynamic between Angie and Yolanda Foster -- Gigi Hadid's mom.
"The hope is they might play matchmaker and try to get Cody and Gigi back together."
First, Joe Jonas has to deal with his little brother breaking up the band, and now this?
