MIley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth appear to be breaking up in 2013. These latest rumors stem from Miley’s sexy VMA performance. The couple may have already split, considering the former Hannah Montana star showed up to the event alone.
For months, rumors have circulated that things are not going well for MIley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth. The couple, who are still claiming to be engaged, have been spotted together less and less.
This was never more apparent than when Miley walked the red carpet alone over the weekend. Cyrus was nominated for four awards and Liam was nowhere to be found.
Cyrus didn’t take home any Moonmen (the VMA awards), but she did deliver the most memorable performance of the night, BY FAR.
The spectacle opened with Miley emerging from the mouth of a giant teddy bear--a new signature of the artist. They first made their appearance in her “We Can’t Stop” music video and have been a fixture of her act ever since.
The next few minutes get pretty confusing. Miley was surrounded by a gang of dancing women who were wearing oversized teddy bears strapped to their back.
Naturally, they all started twerking. The biggest standout, as you might expect, was Cyrus herself. Of course, the solo twerking pales in comparison to what happened when Robin Thicke took the stage.
Miley picked up a large foam finger and then began using it, provocatively--first on herself and then on Thicke. What followed was some of the best twerking we have ever seen.
Thicke seemed surprised by Miley’s actions...and so did everyone else in the audience. After her sex-fueled performance, many people believed that Liam and Miley would break up.
The couple has had their share of problems in the past. Months ago, Hollywood Life caught up with a source who revealed that Liam will leave Miley for extended periods of time and turn off his phone where she cannot reach him. According to the source:
"That’s so hard on her. It really, really upsets her when she can’t reach Liam, she wonders where he’s at and who he’s with. It’s torture for her and it’s her mom and dad that are left dealing with it.”
