It would seem that Bill Hudson can rant and rave all he likes to the tabloids, but his children with Goldie Hawn, Kate and Oliver, know that the truth of the story is that he walked away from them long ago -- not the other way around. According to the latest gossip news updates, the buxom blonde bombshell would never give her biological father the satisfaction of acknowledging his ugly comments about disowning them, instead opting to continue to twist the knife by very publicly pointing out what an amazing dad Kurt Russell is every time she's afforded the opportunity.
Bill Hudson made sure that he reinforced his public perception as being one of the worst fathers in the world last week when he decided to lash out at his estranged children, Kate and Oliver -- insisting that he was going to think of them as dead for not showing him the proper amount of respect on Father's Day.
During a lengthy and equally vitriolic chat with the Daily Mail, he explained that since Oliver is as rude as Kate is forgetful, he's publicly disowning them and demanding that they take someone else's last name:
"I say to them now, 'I set you free,'...I had five birth children but I now consider myself a father of three. I no longer recognize Oliver and Kate as my own.
"I would ask them to stop using the Hudson name. They are no longer a part of my life.
"Oliver's Instagram post was a malicious, vicious, premeditated attack. He is dead to me now. As is Kate.
"I am mourning their loss even though they are still walking this earth."
While it seems that Bill's ugly tirade was prompted by an Instagram caption that apparently hit a little too close to home, a friend of Oliver Hudson told Us Weekly, that Kate's brother was only making a joke about what he feels is very common knowledge at this point:
"The Instagram was a joke...Oliver did not expect it to blow up to this level."
Although it is highly unlikely that Kate is going to give Bill the satisfaction of responding to his comments about Kurt Russell allegedly convincing his ex-wife and kids to hate him, Hudson had no problem telling Vanity Fair years ago that she considered herself lucky that someone like Kurt was there to fill-in for her biological father, who really could not seem to care less about her or her brother (via CBS News):
"[My father] doesn't know me from a hole in the wall...But I don't care.
"I have a dad [Russell]. The bottom line is, you call your kids on their f*cking birthday.
"I'm glad I had a dad who was there on my birthday."
Because nothing says you've been misrepresented throughout their childhood quite like telling your adult children that from now on you are just going to pretend that they are dead.
