The Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star and his Daredevil wife, Jennifer Garner, have been plagued with breakup and divorce rumors. To top things off, the actor recently got PBS’ Finding Your Roots host Skip Gates in a bit of trouble, when he asked the him to censor the fact that one of his ancestors was a slave owner. The scandal, which was revealed during the Sony email hack, has lead to Finding Your Roots being put on a temporary hold while third party fact checkers are put into place.
No matter how hard they try, Ben Affleck and his wife Jennifer Garner can not seem to escape divorce rumors. From Affleck calling their marriage “work” in his Argo Oscar speech, to rumors of cheating and gambling addiction, the couple have been reported to be on the rocks for a while now.
Recently, Life & Style quoted an unnamed source who claims that Garner is looking to make the split official:
“She can’t take it anymore. She’s been consulting with a high-profile divorce lawyer.”
Recently, moving trucks have been spotted outside the couple’s home adding further fuel to the rumors. However, People is reporting that couple are having their home renovated, hence the need for the moving trucks.
Affleck’s Finding Your Roots slave owning scandal has taken its toll on the PBS series. The network recently concluded an investigation into the incident, reporting:
“PBS and WNET have determined that the series co-producers violated PBS standards by failing to shield the creative and editorial process from improper influence, and by failing to inform PBS or WNET of Mr. Affleck’s efforts to affect program content.“
The network is demanding that Finding Your Roots hire an additional third party fact checker and postpone the third season until changes are made.
