Sean Penn Girlfriend Charlize Theron Splits after Tom Hardy Feud News?

It looks like Charlize Theron is about as elusive a catch as Ahab's white whale. According to the latest gossip news updates, the Monster sex-symbol split with her Oscar winning boyfriend, Sean Penn, thanks to his pushing too hard for marriage. In the Gunman's defense, Charlize has a bit of a history feuding with the leading men in her life. Shortly before the news of their breakup went worldwide, Theron admitted that she and Fury Road co-star Tom Hardy virtually hated each other the entire time they were filming Mad Max. Word has it that although Theron and her fiancé are still reeling from the breakup, Charlie's mom Gerda is convinced that it is the best thing that could have happened to her daughter

Although they were just recently calling one another the love of their life in recent interviews, word has it that Charlize Theron seems to have decided that getting married to Sean Penn just wasn't going to work for her after all.

One source claiming to have all the inside details explains in the July 6, issue of In Touch Weekly, that as much as she loved and admired Penn, Charlize just couldn't go through with the wedding:

"Charlize couldn't go through with the wedding.

"She really loved Sean but she had cold feet about walking down the aisle...It was all just moving a bit too fast for her.

"Charlize is sad that it's over, but feels like she did the right things."

According to the informant, Sean could feel the sand shifting under his feet and tried to do what he could to make his 39-year-old girlfriend happy, but in the end it was just too little an effort far too late:

"Sean didn't want to lose her, so he really tried to change, but it just wasn't enough."

Regardless of whatever efforts may or may not have been made by Penn, Charlize's mom, Gerda, is said to be thrilled that her daughter has finally cast the iconic Hollywood bad boy out of her personal life.

A spy who is supposedly close to the South Africa native told the National Enquirer than Gerda couldn't be more thrilled that she won't ever have to call Sean Penn her son-in-law:

"Gerda basically told Charlize he was bad news and she had to dump him.

"Gerda believed the romance was doomed from day one."

It looks like Charlize Theron is dead-set on becoming the next George Clooney -- swearing off marriage until some future date when she'll almost be too tired and old to even do anything about it.
