Salman Khan must have his own parking spot down at the local courthouse, because he is in court just about every other day. Let's see what bad thing has brought Salman their today. Well, it seems recent reports are suggesting that Veer producer Vijay Galanj has filed a defamation suit against Salman for 250 crore.
So what, right? That's like, $600 American dollars, right? No, it's more in the realm of 45.25 million dollars to be precise. What should be of concern to Salman is that the court has already ruled in Galanj's favor. So, why is Galanj out for blood? According to the producer, Galanj said he had been close to the Khans, personally and professionally, for years and that it was Salman who insisted Galanj produce Veer. There was an agreement to pay Salman extra if the film was a hit, but it wasn't. And Galanj didn't pay.
Salman took the matter to CINTAA, and a letter of non-cooperation was issued against the Galanj, which he then took to court.
Says the producer, "The most interesting thing about this letter was that on the night before I received it I was at Salman's place laughing and joking as usual. He mentioned that his new business manager was sending me a letter and I should just ignore it. Then in April I received another letter stating that Salman finds the Rs15 crore overflow agreement unacceptable. This, after everything being on paper. We were working together for two years and he never mentioned he had any problem with the 'overflow' agreement. What made him suddenly wake up about having a problem with the overflow?"
A battle ensued and never in that time did Salman or his legal team show up, Galanj said. What will happen next is anyone's guess? Stay tuned!
