G-Dragon Honors Big Bang Taeyang, Dresses Band as Drag Queens

It's Big Bang's world now. They have seemingly uprooted K-Pop legend Psy as king of the genre. They are not only immensely talented but like to have fun as well. The news out of planet Big Bang was all good this week. They tied a Billboard World Music record and G-Dragon had fun with band member birthday boy Taeyang. He needed something to take the mickey out of birthday boy Taeyang, so he decided to dress the rest of the band up like drag queens and have pictures taken with a stunned Taeyang. Well, that's partly true.

The photo was a simulation, where all the other members of the band, except Taeyang were dressed up like drag queens. It was meant to be a funny birthday card for the singer who just turned 27. G-Dragon posted the photo on Instagram with the message:

"Thank you for having been born, Mr. Youngbae," said G-Dragon in his dedication message to Taeyang, whose real first name is Youngbae.

The photo was a composite of a July 2014 Vogue Korea cover photo. It featured Taeyang with four beautiful models who were actual girls. The photo came from a session he did while promoting his then new album Rise .

Taeyang played along and the boys had a laugh. Taeyang sent out a thank you --"Thanks everyone ! I love ❤"

It was a moment's fun during their promotional tour that saw them tie K-Pop King Psy with their new single "Bang Bang". Upon its release, the song flew to #1 on the Billboard Music World Digital Charts. Its previous single "We Like 2 Party" was already ruling the chart and Big Bang became only the second artists, the first being Psy, to hold both the #1 and #2 slots on the chart.
