Heidi Fleiss may be arrested again in 2013. This time it was for pot. The former madam may have a new client list, filled with a bunch of weed fans. Fleiss was caught with nearly 400 pounds of marijuana plants.
The bust appears to be somewhat accidental. Officers from the Nye County Sheriff Office were actually looking for another woman who was wanted for arrest.
The woman in question was living with Fleiss at her home in Nye County, Nev. When officers arrived to apprehend the woman, they noticed something unusual...over 390 marijuana plants.
The plants were growing in a nearby field. When questioned by the police, Fleiss admitted that she was the owner of the cannabis in question.
Trying to cover her tracks, however, Ms. Fleiss said that she was planning on selling the plants to a nearby cooperative. The problem?
Heidi doesn’t have a license to grow medical marijuana...something the state really frowns upon.
According to Us Weekly, Sheriff Anthony De Meo said that:
“Fleiss has been charged with one count of marijuana with intent to sell, possession of drug paraphernalia, maintaining a residence where drugs are sold, and conspiracy to violate the Controlled Substances Act. She was not arrested, though, ‘due to the fact that she has approximately $200,000 worth of exotic birds in the residence plus she gave us consent to search without a warrant and was very cooperative throughout the investigation.’"
As you might remember, this is not Fleiss’ first run in with law. Back in the 90s, she got in trouble for running a highly successful prostitution ring.
