Robert Plant and the Sensational Spaceshifters paid respect to Willie Dixon, Howln' Wolf and Joan Baez on Friday night at Mountain Jam Festival in Hunter Mountain. Their recent Nonesuch Records debut lullaby and... The Ceasless Roar, an African influenced LP of reworked Led Zellplin work, recieved a well rounded 7 from Pitchfork.
On the hill, their hour and a half set list gave boisterous renditions of "Whole Lotta Love," "What Is and What Never Should Be," and a gem of a cover in Bukka White's "Fixin' To Die". Have a look yourself below, as Plant has recently come down with laryngitis resulting in a canceled show with the Pixies opening in Detroit.
