Rumors are once again flying that Selena Gomez might be headed back to rehab. According to a new tabloid report, the singer/actress relapsed after her latest breakups with Justin Bieber and DJ Zedd. Are the rumors true? Will Selena Gomez readmit herself to rehab, after publicly combatting fat shaming?
There is absolutely no evidence to suggest that Selena needs rehab, yet that didn't stop the tabloids from viciously attacking Gomez again.
Ever since it was revealed that Selena Gomez once entered rehab, the rumor mill has been working in overdrive. And that's certainly the case this week, as Life & Style chose to make Selena Gomez and Kylie Jenner the focus of their latest print edition.
According to popular entertainment website Inquisitr, the tabloid claims that both Selena and Kylie are in desperate need of rehab:
"A new report in Life & Style is claiming that Kylie Jenner, 17, and Selena Gomez, 22, are out of control and headed to rehab soon. According to the report, Kylie Jenner has been betrayed by older sister Kim Kardashian that's causing her 'to hit rock bottom.' As for Selena Gomez, the singer-actress relapsed after dealing with her pain from her split with Justin Bieber."
As usual, however, the publication offered no real evidence to support their claims. And, in typical Gomez fashion, Selena discredited the rehab rumors on social media (via Yahoo News):
"I want to claim my own name...Sometimes I get frustrated when I hear lies about who I am...The Internet is meant to keep you 'updated' but it just takes old news and freezes it like it's now."
This isn't the only time Selena has taken to social media to get her point across. Gomez used the same strategy when she was unfairly criticized for gaining weight.
After a particular Twitter user attacked Gomez's appearance, the gorgeous singer shut down the troll (via Cosmo):
"You're disgusting. IM IN the business and I could care less about what 'they' or you say I should look like...I don't need to do anything other than love myself, take care of my work, fans, family and friends....And I do work out. It's not your place to tell anyone what they should or should not do."
What do you think of the latest reports? Is there any way that Selena Gomez really needs to go back to rehab? If so, does it have anything to do with her breakup from Justin Bieber? Where do the tabloids get this nonsense?
