50 Shades of Grey is getting a bit of an update. The book is being made into a movie, which has already become one of the most anticipated films of the year. We’ve got the latest rumors of 2013 concerning the cast, release date and gossip surrounding the yet to be made flick.
In case you’ve been living under a rock for the past few years, you may not be familiar with the best-selling book, written by EL James. The totally NSFW novel deals with some pretty sexy topics and is often sold as part of a kit for lovers.
These kits, along with the theme of the novel, are actually responsible for a spike in calls to rescue workers. Largely, these deal with individuals who have accidently handcuffed themselves to beds and even more private things.
Of course, the latest frenzy is surrounding the upcoming film. EL James has officially sold the rights of her popular novel and has even released a tentative release date of August 1, 2014, without so much as one scene having been filmed.
In fact, no actor or actress has been hired for the film...unless the studio is keeping it under wraps. The Christian Post, however, has some ideas about who might be selected for the main parts:
“Rumors of course continue to swirl regarding who will get the main parts of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele.
Some of the stars linked with Anastasia Steele have been Alexis Bledel, Emilia Clarke, Amanda Seyfried, Felicity Jones, and Mila Kunis.
Where as some of the top actors linked with the role of Christian Grey have been Matt Bomer, Henry Cavill, Ian Somerhalder, Stephen Amell, and Ryan Gosling.”
