Jamie Campbell Bower and Lily Collins, daughter of legendary musician Phil Collins, are no longer dating. Their break up follows a promotional tour of their upcoming film The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones.
It appears that Bower and Collins have called it quits, ending their romantic relationship. The couple have been dating for about a year.
In a bit of irony, the pair began dating after they met on the set of Mortal Instruments, back in July of 2012. Now the pair has declared they’re breaking up--just as their roles in the movie have come to an end, completing the final stages of publicity.
The break up actually occurred some time before the couple began doing press for the flick, which was shot entirely in Canada. But, you couldn’t have told that from their interactions while promoting the new movie, as both kept things totally professional.
A source who is close to the couple spoke to Us Weekly, where they claimed that the pair:
“remain very good friends. They've been really good about doing the press tour together for their movie. They were able to stay friendly."
Prior to dating one another, Bower was engaged to Harry Potter co-star Bonnie Wright. The pair broke off their engagement shortly before Bower met Collins. Lily was also linked to a hot celeb. She was dating Twilight star Taylor Lautner.
The 24-year-old actors new film, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, has a release date of August 21.
