The ladies of Bravo's Real Housewives of Atlanta are more than used to having their comments taken out of context in order to drag their names through the mud, but supposed Season 8 cast member, Kenya Moore, thinks that Vibe magazine recently took things way too far when they purposefully twisted her comments about interracial dating into an indictment of the black community. According to the latest gossip news updates, former ISheree Whitfield may also find herself in court very soon. Word has it that Sheree reportedly owes nearly $288,000 in back taxes.
Real Housewives of Atlanta's Kenya Moore is the latest Bravo Housewives to be pushed to their breaking point by the media.
The former Miss America winner is said by LALate to be furious over Vibe magazine's using the comments that Moore recently made to Hello Beautiful about interracial dating to suggest the Kenya claimed ALL black men were either in prison or gay.
It seems that Vibe ran the headline: "Kenya Moore Says All Black Men Are Gay, In Jail Or Unemployed"; when in if fact Kenya goes out of her way to explain that there are at least four reasons there airen't many eligible black men in the market pool after first being asked about the positives of interracial dating by Hello Beautifu (via LaLate):
"There's not a lot of eligible bachelors that are black, for us to choose from anymore.
"Statistics show why we don't have the choices.
"You take the ones that are gay, in jail, don't have a job, the ones that are already married and the ones that are dating and marrying outside our race, what do you have left?"
According to LaLate, Moore let Vibe know earlier Saturday morning via Twitter that either they could remove the offensive article or suffer the consequences:
"I have never said that in this is reckless and irresponsible to lie and mislead readers and misquote me.
"Retract or get sued."
Unfortunately for Sheree Whitfield, it's probably going to take a good bit more than a simple retraction to keep her out of court.
From the looks of the documents reportedly obtained exclusively by Life & Style, the retired Atlanta housewife owes more than a-quarter-of-a-million dollars in back taxes to the IRS.
The tabloids insists that the total, which comes up just short of $288K, comes from three different years wherein Whitfield reportedly failed to pay her fair share to Uncle Sam:
"According to IRS documents filed on May 7... Sheree owes $134,728.45 in unpaid taxes for 2013 and 2012.
"Sheree was also slapped with not one, but two federal tax liens totaling $152,979.41 for 2009 to 2011, which adds up to a total of $287,707.86 in debt."
No wonder Apollo Nida turned to a life of crime.
