After months of rumors claiming that Beyonce is pregnant with Jay Z's second child and is seriously contemplating a divorce from the "99 Problems" rapper, it appears that Jay Z may have his 100th problem on his hands. A number of media outlets have reported that Beyonce's music will be pulled from Jay Z's latest investment, struggling streaming service Tidal.
This certainly isn't something you want to hear after investing tens of millions of dollars in an unproven business model, but Jay Z's Tidal steaming service may offer more problems than it does solutions.
After being criticized for the hefty price tag it charges users in exchange for an allegedly superior audio experience, Tidal was thought to have another major PR nightmare on its hands.
Beyonce's music is owned by Sony, and a number of media outlets have expressed doubt that Tidal will have the capital to pay the juggernaut for its impressive catalogue.
Luckily, however, Sony has since denied that they have plans to pull Beyonce's albums from the service, as Time tells readers:
"Sony has now quashed that rumor for the time being. 'Jay Z is a friend and business associate for many years. I have always admired his business acumen, his entrepreneurship and his passion for music,' said Sony's CEO Doug Morris in a statement. 'All of our content, including Beyoncé, is available through the Tidal service, and we have announced no plans to remove our catalog from Tidal. Like all of our other partners, we are rooting for Jay and Tidal to succeed.'"
That's likely good news for Jay Z and Beyonce, who have been battling a number of unsavory rumors (most of them dealing with divorce) ever since Jay Z was attacked by Beyonce's sister Solange in a MET elevator.
Further putting these divorce rumors to shame, Ed Sheeran recently revealed that he hung out with Jay Z and Beyonce.
According to Vulture, Jay Z and Beyonce are fans of Ed's music:
"Ed Sheeran is, like, really famous, you guys. And this is just how famous he is: He told Jimmy Fallon that he hung out with Jay Z and Beyoncé on Sunday night, after they attended his show at Barclays Center."
What do you think of the latest reports? Will Beyonce's music stay on Tidal? Do you think she and Jay Z are really headed towards a divorce? Did you expect that Jay Z and Beyonce were Ed Sheeran fans?
