CW ‘Flash’ Writers Return For Season 2: Harrison Wells Tom Cavanagh Not Dead? [RUMORS]

The CW’s Flash was without a doubt one of best TV shows to come out of the 2014-2015 line-up. The first season just ended, with one hell of a cliffhanger. Now, the writers are back to work, fleshing out a what happens to the Scarlet Speedster next, and stealing food from the Arrow writers. The writers have quite the task ahead of them this year. Not only do they have to try and top the incredible first season, but they also have to find a way to bring back Harrison Wells or the Reverse Flash, considering Tom Cavanagh is still going to be a series regular.

Recently, Flash and Arrow executive producer, Andrew Kreisberg, opened to ComicBookMovie.com about what is in store for Season 2:

"Part of the fun of The Flash is when you have people dabbling in sci-fi physics, they’re significantly altering the world. We established in the finale that the entire series of The Flash is, in itself, an alternate timeline that’s been skewed from the real one. Wells setting off the accelerator created all the metahumans, and the results of the singularity will also have long-term effects."

One big obstacle the writers will have to face is bringing back Tom Cavanagh considering that real Harrison Wells and Eobard Thawne are gone.

Kreisberg confirming Tom Cavanagh’s staus as a season regular recently in an interview with The Hollywood reporter:

“Tom Cavanagh will be back. That is not in question. Tom Cavanagh will continue to be a regular.”

What do you think about Cavanagh’s return? Are you excited for Season 2? Will it be able to top Season 1?
