There was no winner for this past weekend’s Mega Millions lottery jackpot, meaning that tonight’s all new game has risen way past the $250 million mark. Check the report below for the full jackpot total.
The new Mega Millions jackpot total for the June 2 game has risen to $260 million with an estimated cash value of $158 million.
The official Mega Millions lottery website is reporting on tonight’s massive drawing, writing:
“The eighth largest Mega Millions jackpot in the past five years is on tap for next Tuesday, June 2, with an estimated $253 million prize available ($157 million cash option). No ticket matched all six numbers drawn in the May 29 drawing – the white balls 20, 27, 38, 49 and 66, plus the gold Mega Ball 2.
“There were two Match 5 second-prize winning tickets Friday night, worth $1 million each, sold in Ohio and Pennsylvania.
“The jackpot has been rolling since it was last won on March 24 by a group of co-workers in New York. Two other jackpots have been won this year -- $126 million on February 27 (also in New York) and $265 million won in Illinois on January 16.
“Although the jackpot has remained elusive since March 24, a total of more than 30.3 million winning tickets have been sold since then at all other prize levels, including 28 with prizes of $1 million or more. Almost 3.3 million of those included the optional $1 Megaplier purchase, which multiplied their winnings by a factor of 2x to 5x.”
