Sofia Coppola has reportedly dropped out as director of the upcoming Universal’s live-action film version of Hans Christian Andersen classic fairy tale The Little Mermaid. The Lost in Translation director has reportedly left the movie due to creative differences, according to Deadline.com. Meanwhile, Disney’s live action Beauty and the Beast reboot is up and running. With the all star cast firmly in place, including Emma Watson, Luke Evans, Ian McKellen, Ewan McGregor, Dan Stevens and Josh Gad, a release date has now been set.
