It probably comes as no surprise to those closet to David Hasselhoff's daughter, Taylor Ann, that the only reason the Baywatchs scion ever agreed to join E!'s #richkidsofbeverlyhills is to change public perception of what wealth Hollywood kids actually act like. According to the latest gossip news updates, Hasselhoff wants to show the world that Hedonistic materialism is only embraced by a certain sect of L.A.'s well-to-do, while the rest of the superstars and their kids are quite down to earth. Series veteran, Roxy Sowlaty, recently revealed that despite her noble demeanor, Taylor Ann's pit-bull of a boyfriend, Bobby, is the new Season 3 cast villain.
First hearing the news that David Hasselhoff's daughter recently joined the cast of #richkidsofbeverlyhills, one might assume that Taylor Ann is just one more in a long line of Hollywood trust-funders living off their parents' wealth, but she recently explained to HNGN that couldn't be further from how she sees herself:
"[The show] seemed a lot about money, material things and that's just not my nature, that's not how I've been raised.
"I wanted to do the show to change the preconceived notion about people that grew up in a privileged lifestyle.
"I support myself fully right now...because I think as a 25-year-old I should be out their helping, I should be making money on my own because that's what you do, that's how life should be."
In her latest June 8 interview with Star magazine, Roxy Sowlaty, confirmed that Taylor was at least a but nicer than your average spoiled rotten rich kid, but insisted that her boyfriend behaved so badly that it almost isn't worth it having Hasselhoff around because of it:
"Tay is very sweet, but there is this terrible, terrible human named Bobby whom Taylor is dating for some reason who's awful!
"You'll see a bit of that. He's just like the most disgusting human I have ever met in my life.
"He's gross. He's sleezy. He makes my skin crawl."
For his part, David Hasselhoff knew his daughter would be running up against some real nasty so-and-so's on the show -- telling E! News, that he advised his daughter to just give the uglier cast mates their space:
"I said 'There's good news and bad news, the good news is you're on the show and the bad news is you may run into drama.'
"I kind of counseled her like you know, don't engage: 'You know what the truth is and you know who you are.'"
Let's hope that Taylor Ann makes her father proud even if she isn't quite able to change everyone's opinion about Hollywood rich kids being the scum of the earth.
