Although it hardly sounds like something to watch with your kids, Australian model turned actress, Emma Ishta is super excited about her role on ABC Family's new TV show, Stitchers. According to the latest gossip news updates, Emma's character, Kirsten, is able to sort through the memories of cadavers in order to determine their true killers. The Carrie Diaries' Kyle Harris is set to play Kirsten's well-meaning boss, Cameron, who is determined to keep the program they work for from repeating the sins of its past.
Set to make her acting debut on ABC Family June 2, in Stitchers, Emma Ishta recently explained to Just Jared that her character is much more complicated than your average TV forensic crime fighter, because she isn't exactly right in the head:
"Kirsten is a computer science grad student and she gets recruited by this covert government agency to hack into the brains of deceased people.
"She has this condition called temporal dysplasia...the first way is it affects her ability to comprehend the passage of time, so every moment to her feels as if it's always been there, like she's constantly experiencing déjà vu.
"And it also affects her ability to emotionally connect with herself with her own emotions and also with the emotions of other people."
Not quite as new to the scene, Kyle Harris, explained in the same joint-interview that his character, Cameron, also has a lot going on internally, thanks to his having to work with someone with Kirsten's unique disposition:
